Skilled medical technologists are in high demand in the United States. Conexus MedStaff helps international ASCPi certified medical technologists to realize their version of the American dream, by offering full immigration sponsorship, transport to the U.S. and more. In this article, we describe the immigration journey for international medical technologists, and explore how Conexus provides support every step of the way.

Once a qualified international medical technologist has applied to work with Conexus and meets our criteria for employment, the immigration process begins. For medical technologists, we offer two routes to the U.S. with either the H-1B and EB-3 visa.

The H-1B visa allows U.S. employers to temporarily employ foreign workers in specialty occupations, including medical technology. This visa is a faster route into the U.S., especially if an applicant’s petition is selected through the H-1B visa lottery. If a medical technologist enters the United States on an H-1B visa, Conexus MedStaff will continue to process their EB-3 visa, also known as a Green Card, which offers permanent residency.

If a medical technologist does not want to pursue an H-1B visa, Conexus will file for an EB-3 visa. This process is somewhat longer, especially considering variable Priority Dates, but the outcome is the same – permanent residency in the United States.

Throughout the immigration process, Conexus experts will liaise with the medical technologist to ensure all necessary documents are collected in a timely manner. Having documents submitted on time is key to progressing through the immigration process as quickly as possible. The applicant can help in this by gathering the required documents in advance, so they are ready to submit whenever they are needed.

In addition to helping gather and submit documents plus visa petition filing and coordination with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Conexus offers guidance on visa interviews and compliance with immigration regulations, ensuring a smooth and successful transition to working in the United States.

Furthermore, Conexus offers ongoing professional development opportunities to help medical technologists excel in their careers. This includes access to continuing education programs, mentorship opportunities, and networking events within the healthcare industry. By investing in the growth and development of its candidates, Conexus ensures that medical technologists can thrive in their roles and make meaningful contributions to patient care in the United States.

The U.S. immigration process is complex and can take a long time, but Conexus has a team of experts who are committed to making the process as seamless as possible for medical technologists, so they can start living their version of the American dream in the shortest possible time.
