If there’s an eyebrow pomade that you always find in Instagram videos and influencers swear by all the time, that is the DipBrow Pomade from Anastasia Beverly Hills. It’s a cult favorite product in the eyebrows world and especially within the brand, so when Black Friday came around last year, I could not resist. Here’s a review on what to expect, experience on how it dries, and everything you need to know before purchasing it.

I already told you a little bit about this product in this post, in which I pick my top 10 cruelty-free products of 2017. I consider this to be a high-end product; it costs £19 if you buy it off the UK page or $18 in the US/international one. It is also cruelty-free and vegan.
Positive
- It has a high pigmentation, so you do not need to apply much product as little goes a long way. You can also build it up.
- It is waterproof and smudge-proof.
- It has a matt finish.
- The formula is very creamy and that makes it so easy and effortless to apply.
- Very long-lasting.
- It has a fairly wide range of natural tones, with 11 tones available.
Negative
- It can be difficult to control if you don’t have a lot of practice with this type of product, but I think that with practice, it becomes very easy and quick to use.
Does it dry out?
One of the biggest concerns people have about this product is whether it dries out or not, and how much. I’ve never tried an eyebrow pomade that lasts the whole 6 months as creamy and easy to apply as it did the first day, but this one has remained in better conditions than any other one.

It still works perfectly fine: it was not until the third month of use that I started noticing that it had dried up a bit, although it didn’t affect the application at all. In the fifth/sixth month is when I noticed more dryness, but it hasn’t been a real problem: if you dig a little bit, the bottom part is fine and still creamy.
So the answer is yes, it obviously does, but less than the usual and after a really long time. And it still works just as good.
So… is it worth it?
I don’t know what I’d do without my DipBrow Pomade! It puts up with everything and I feel like it’s one of those products that you always use, unlike most palettes, so it is a good investment that will last long.
You can achieve a natural look with light strokes, or Instagram-worthy brows by pressing a little more. I’ve been using it for almost 6 months (which is what takes most brow pomades to expire) using it, and I haven’t touched the pan yet. So it does last a long time and, unless you use it to do many people’s makeup, it’s almost impossible for you to run out of it in just six months.

I think the hype is very well-deserved, and I’m pretty certain I’ll repurchase this product when I run out of it, preferably when there’s a good offer (at Black Friday it was down 30%, so it cost me around 15 euros).

And lastly, I selected two tutorials for you to watch and get an idea on how it applies: the first one is a more natural brow tutorial and the second one is more detailed visually because you can see the eyebrow better, both using the DipBrow Pomade:
