Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard of Bombas. The sock-centric brand has been making headway throughout comfort-craving wardrobes since 2013. Since then, Bombas has since expanded to selling t-shirts and underwear, but they’re known for their life-changing socks. I decided to put them to the test to see if this is true, which is why I’m bringing you my honest Bombas socks review.
I wasn’t originally planning on writing this article when I first purchased my Bombas socks. But I felt compelled to write about them as my opinion morphed throughout a few months. Keep reading to see my Bombas socks review and if they are really worth the hype!

Bombas Socks: First Impressions
When I was browsing for new socks on Bombas, I had two things to consider, which are important to me when buying socks. They are the color and length.
First, I’m not someone who cares about “fun” socks with patterns. I’m boring, I know. I do branch out with some colors (which you’ll see below), but I like to stick with white, black, and neutral tones as they mesh better with my style.
When it comes to length, I wanted a taller sock. I have a ton of ankle socks, and by a ton, I mean way too many. Plus, my style has evolved recently to wearing sneakers with tall socks because I’m cool like that now. Anyway, let’s get into the socks I bought.
Women’s Solids Calf Socks
First, I bought two pairs of these white calf socks. I wanted two because I didn’t have any other white socks to wear so I thought the more the merrier.
I’m a size 7 and purchased a small which fits great. I’ll get more into the fit of Bombas socks below, but for now, let’s talk about the comfort of these specific socks.
They are on the thicker side, which I love. They are warm without making my feet sweaty (gross, sorry) and they don’t make my feet feel too constricted. The length was great and allowed me to bunch my socks down above my shoes.
These socks are made of premium cotton that is soft, durable, and smooth (according to Bombas) which I can attest to. They also have a cushioned footbed for comfort and support, as well as an arch support system that cradles the arch of the foot. This is especially important for me because I have very high arches and hate when my socks feel loose.
These socks are $12.50 a pair, but I had a coupon code for 20% off from signing up for their emails.

Out of the socks I purchased from Bombas, these are the ones that I’m wearing the most. Now let’s jump into the other ones I purchased.
Women’s Lightweight Calf Sock 4-Pack
This was the second set of socks that I purchased. I wanted these because they offered a wide variety of colors, which is important to me as I mentioned above (including a purple pair which really pushed me out of my comfort zone).
These socks are thinner than the ones above (hence the “lightweight”), which was initially a drawback. But after wearing them for a bit, I realized that they were perfect and that I appreciate the option to have both a lightweight and thicker sock.
I purchased these in a size small and they fit great. I find that some socks fit me weird by the length being too long which results in the heel of the sock sitting on the back of my ankle. I was glad this wasn’t the case for these socks.
This fabric is breathable and soft to the touch. It also contains a seamless toe which is perfect for people like myself who get annoyed with that annoying bump. The cuff also has a two-way stretch that stretches horizontally and vertically while never sliding down.
This 4-pack retails for $56. Phew, I know, it’s a lot of money for 4 pairs of socks. It definitely took me a second to commit but I’m glad I did because I wear these socks on the daily. Plus, as I mentioned above, I had a 20% off coupon so I was able to get them for less.
How Do Bombas Socks fit?
Bombas has various sizing depending on the style of sock socks. For no-show, ankle, quarter, calf, and knee-high socks, Bombas recommend the following for sizing.
Small: US Shoe size 4-7.5Medium: 8-10.5Large: 11-13X-Large: 13.5-17
For their lightweight no-show socks, Bombas recommends the following.

PS, I am a true size 7. I purchased a size small in all of the socks mentioned above and they fit me perfectly.
How Do You Wash Bombas Socks?
I’m very particular about how I wash pretty much everything. I used to be very careless and everything I would throw in the washer/dryer would shrink or get somewhat messed up. Now I am super careful!

I wash my Bombas socks with like colors and pop them in the dryer with no issues of shrinkage.
Bombas recommends washing your socks on a gentle cycle with cold water, mild detergent, and tumble dry on low. If I’m being honest, every load of laundry I do (for the most part) is with warm water and medium heat. I’ve never had any issues with this and my Bombas socks.
According to Bombas, your socks will shrink one time – just a tiny bit- the first time you wash them and then never again. This is true although frankly I never noticed any shrinkage so they were right about the “tiny bit” part.
Are Bombas Socks Made In the USA?
Bombas socks are made in a variety of countries throughout the world including the US, Taiwan, China, and Peru.
Bombas claims to work with the most technical and high-rated manufactures that all have passed audits with strict standards for health, safety, and social compliance.
How Is Bombas Socially Responsible?
There isn’t a ton of information on how Bombas practices social responsibility which is kind of a bummer. I’d love to know what they’re doing to be a more ethical and sustainable company.
However, the company does one very amazing thing with their products. For every pair of socks you purchase, Bombas donates one pair to homeless shelters. Socks are actually one of the most needed products in homeless shelters. Bombas has donated over 50 million items and counting, so to say they’re making a difference is an understatement.
Are Bombas Socks Really Worth It?
In my opinion, Bombas socks are absolutely worth it. You can really feel and see the high-quality design and material throughout every pair.
I’m fully aware that Bombas cost more than the average pair of socks. But when you consider what goes into each pair along with the long lifecycle of such, it makes sense why they are priced higher than what you normally pay for socks. You definitely get a great cost per wear. Plus, with every purchase, you are also donating to someone in need.
I don’t purchase new socks very often but the next time I need a new pair, I’ll definitely be buying Bombas.
Let’s Wrap It Up
I hope you all enjoyed my in-depth Bombas socks review! This company is completely changing the sock game and I’m happy I’ve finally been able to test them out.
