When I visited Korea last summer (seems so long ago!), the weather was suuuuper hot and I needed a lightweight, cooling moisturizer. Since I was enjoying Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner at that time, I decided to purchase the moisturizer from the same line, Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream. “Gel cream” sounded nice and refreshing, plus the packaging is a pretty blue ombre tube ❤

The Packaging:
The cream comes in an ombre blue squeezy tube which is dark blue at the top, fading to a light blue at the bottom – pretty! It is also translucent so you can easily see how much product you have left 🙂
It has a transparent plastic lid which you open in order to disperse the product. Overall, packaging feels lightweight yet sturdy.
The Consistency:
The gel cream is a similar consistency to aloe vera gel – a clear gel that is easy to spread, instantly cooling and leaves a light layer on the skin which takes a few minutes to fully absorb in.
Another plus is that the gel cream has no scent yay! ^.^/
The Performance:
Application of the gel cream is easy since it is a lightweight gel which spreads very well. Since I use this mainly in summer, I particularly enjoy the refreshing cooling sensation this has on my skin.
At first, a light layer in formed on top of the skin. After a couple of minutes, the layers fully absorbs in and you have a non-sticky finish with a little glow.
For my combo-dry skin, this is sufficient moisture during hot summer days (not too many of these in the UK though o.o). For the rest of the year, this would not provide enough moisture for the drier parts of my face which I was kind of expecting since this product is aimed at oily to combination skin types.

Isntree’s Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream is a nice, lightweight clear gel which is fast absorbing and cools your skin down. The gel does not have a scent.
For my combo-dry skin, it adequately hydrates my skin on warmer, summer days however it is not hydrating enough during the rest of the year.
I would highly recommend this gel cream to those with oily or combo-oily skin since I think the lightweight moisture it provides would be ideal for someone who does not want a heavier cream moisturizer.
