Overall Opinion:
Overall, I think Nu Skin Sunright Insta Glow is slightly better than your average self tanner, so I ranked it 3 out of 5 stars.
I really do like the color it produces, but there are other things about it I don’t like.
So as far as the color goes, I got a really natural medium to dark tan after only one use. My tan looked great, especially on my legs, they looked so bronzey!
Unfortunately, my tan didn’t last as long as I’d like and it faded really poorly. It looked really unnatural and weird as the days went on.
I also don’t like that the guide includes a shimmer to it. In my opinion, the shimmer is pointless, because it just washes off the next morning in the shower anyways. So you’re basically applying a shimmery guide just to wear to bed (I’m not the type to go out while my self tanner is developing).
The drying time is good, application is okay, but the smell sucks.
So overall, the color is good, but there are some other aspects of this self tanner that I don’t care for.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
Xem thêm : Disney Dreamlight Valley: Where to Get Ginger
This gel comes out a shimmery, bronze color. It looks more like a bronzer at first glance. It has an orange hue to it, instead of being pure brown.
The gel is very sticky and thick in nature; it’s not a loose, thin gel like some out there.
Application
Glitter/shimmer always makes application harder in my opinion.
I used a tanning mitt to apply Nu Skin Tanning Gel, and I still found that the shimmer got on things.
Other than that, the orange color guide doesn’t really act as a guide; I couldn’t see where I was applying the gel.
I don’t think that necessarily made it harder to apply, but if you’re someone that needs a color guide to apply, you’ll want to find a different tanning product. This also made the name of this self tanner confusing to me. It definitely doesn’t give an “Insta Glow”, you need to wait at least 6-8 hours to see any tan at all.
Drying Time
Most of the time gels take a while to dry and stay sticky for a while.
I was actually surprised by how quickly this one dried. It took about 15 minutes total, and yes, I did feel sticky while I waited. But 15 minutes isn’t too bad as far as drying times go, it’s less than your average drying time.
Smell (Before Application)
Nu Skin Sunright Insta Glow doesn’t smell very good. It smells like an old school self tanner, with that strong DHA scent in it.
They didn’t do much as far as fragrance goes in order to cover the DHA smell up either.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
After the color had developed the next morning, the DHA self tanning smell was more apparent and stronger.
This was one I couldn’t wait to shower off when I woke up.

Color Produced
I was pretty impressed with my tan after I showered off the guide the next morning.
I usually can’t stand products that have shimmer to them, and I still wish this one didn’t include it. However, it seemed to mostly wash off in the shower, which is good. If I wanted a shimmery tan, I’d just apply a wash off bronzer. So I prefer self tanners without glitter or shimmer in them, because I think it just makes them messier.
Anyways, my tan was a medium to dark brown shade. The color was great in that it wasn’t fake looking at all; it was very realistic. My legs looked especially tanned and defined, which is a look I know most women will love! I was bronze without being orange, which is a look I love.
One thing I don’t like about this tanner is that the directions on how to use it are very vague. They don’t say how long to leave the tanner on before washing it off, so I just left it on overnight and then showered it off the next morning (hopefully this is right!).
But as far as color produced, I’m happy with the color this one gives. I think most people (even novice self tanners) will like it.
How Long It Lasts
This part I don’t like as much. After 2-3 days, my tan started to look a lot worse. It was very scaley and patchy looking, and started to turn a little orange.
So I only got about 3 days wear of the good color, than it turned ugly. I’d need to apply this one twice per week in order to maintain my sun kissed look.
OK For Men?
As far as the color produced goes, I think men will like this one.
Price
At $7.14 per ounce, Nu Skin Sunright Insta Glow is more expensive than your average self tanner on the market, but not by much.
