Hi friends! How are you enjoying this summer? It’s been FULL of summer fun for us! We recently moved to a new house, which is a great excuse to have our friends and family over for a little outdoor entertaining. Does the thought of entertaining intimidate you? Well today we’re sharing some of our favorite tips for hosting your own get-together!

Outdoor Lighting
Even if you’re hosting a party in the middle of the day, I always like to toss in additional lighting to set the mood and enhance decor. For summer parties, lanterns are a great idea and if you’re throwing an evening soiree, string lights are a must!
Self Serve
If you’re not hosting a formal affair (which I RARELY do), take the pressure off yourself and set out snacks, plates, cups and more for your guests to help themselves! That way, your guests are sure to get what they need when they need it and you aren’t left scrambling around trying to do more than you need to. I also love these birchwood utensils that are not only cute but are compostable as well!
Signature Drink
Lastly, I love to serve a signature drink! Something easy that you can whip up beforehand that will WOW your guests! I love to make fun, fruity combinations with a little kick for the adults! Wink, wink.

Enter – our Pineapple Rum Punch! We headed down to our local Safeway and stocked up on all we needed to create this delicious signature drink.
Pineapple Rum Punch Ingredients
- Malibu rum
- Pineapple juice
- Ginger ale
- Ice
- Pineapple chunks (garnish)
How to Make Pineapple Rum Punch
We started with pineapple juice and added in delicious, chilled Canada Dry® Ginger Ale.
Once that was combined, we topped it off with Malibu Rum! 
Talk about a delicious flavor combination! Serve your signature drink with skewers of fresh pineapple and this Pineapple Rum Punch will have your guests coming back for seconds! 
If your party is adults-only, simply leave your pitcher of Pineapple Rum Punch right on the table with glasses so your guests can serve themselves. Now you can sit back and relax and just ENJOY your company!
