Ole Henriksen Transform Plus Range

As you know, Ole Henriksen features heavily in my skincare routine with most of my products coming from the brand. I use Truth in the morning, Balance when my skin is playing up and Transform when I need a little more oomph. Within the Transform range, Ole Henriksen Transform Plus has been developed with products that give results without being harsh on the skin. I’ve been testing two of the products over the last few weeks and I’m really impressed with the results that I have been seeing.

I’m not that girl who uses a 10 step routine at night and I want a routine that is basically cleanse, tone, serum, moisturiser and ready to go. Whether that’s ready to go to bed or to work, I am a simple skincare soul so slotting in the Ole Henriksen Transform Plus has been a piece of cake. There are two key products in the Transform Plus; Ole Henriksen Glow Cycle Retin-ALT Power Serum and the Ole Henriksen Goodnight Glow Retin-ALT Sleeping Creme, both of which use bakuchiol as a plant based alternative to retinol.

Retinol is a great ingredient however I find that I have issues with my skin drying out when I use it. It’s still very much trial and error to be able to find the perfect retinol but at the moment, I am saying goodbye to that search whilst I enjoy the properties of bakuchiol. What is bakuchiol? Derived from the Ayuverdic babchi plant, a natural retinol alternative that helps even skin tone, smooth texture and target fine lines and wrinkles. The Transform Plus range also contains a blend of AHAs; glycolic and lactic acid to even skin tone and smooth the texture as well as Edelweiss stem cells to promote firmness and improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

The Ole Henriksen Glow Cycle Retin-ALT Power Serum can be used both morning and night. In the morning I apply over my Truth Serum and let the lavender tint immediately brighten and awaken my skin tone. In the evening, after cleansing I apply the serum before applying a generous layer of Ole Henriksen Goodnight Glow Retin-ALT Sleeping Creme.

What I have noticed is that I am waking up with mattified skin especially on my forehead which is usually where all the oil seems to pool during the night. My skin does look plumper but what I noticed more is the texture and how much smoother it’s looking. As I don’t tend to use any harsh acids on my skin very often, I can see when I do need the benefit of them. I get under the skin lumps and what look like spots but when I use a targeted treatment such a bakuchiol, it does disappear quite quickly. During the day when I’m makeup free, my skin has never looked as bright after using the serum. It’s lovely and although it does look a little shocking when you first apply it and you see your little lilac hued face, it sinks in to leave a fresh and healthy glow.

I’m also testing the Ole Henriksen Wrinkle Blur™ Bakuchiol Eye Gel Crème which is part of the Transform range and I can’t wait to share my thoughts with you.

Bakuchiol really is a wonderful little ingredient and the results have been wonderful. I’m really invested in the Transform and Transform Plus range and all I need now is the Ole Henriksen Transform Plus PHAT Glow Facial to complete collection!
